Learndirect Provision

Our learndirect provision has continued to grow. With over 800 online courses offered to the local Businesses, Individuals and the general Community our delivery team has grown and developed to deliver our services ‘Virtually’ for people working at home and in ‘Companies’ as a staff development tool. This includes:

Essential Skills – Literacy, Numeracy & the National Tests

CTA actively work to engage local businesses in the County Durham area to recognising the importance of providing access to ‘essential’ skills for their employees. We have established some good relationships with local businesses and continue to promote and build on this area. Increasing the foundation skills of individuals can contribute significantly to an increase in productivity in the workplace. Our skills for life programmes are flexible and fit it with day to day work activities.

Products and Services

Virtual learndirect Centre

Communicators Training Associates are recognised as a ‘VIRTUAL’ training learndirect centre in County Durham. A virtual centre means that the learning is done at a time and place that suits the individual. CTA have a sound infrastructure that supports our learners from the beginning to the end of their learning journey. Our tutors and trainers are fully qualified and skilled in the area they tutor/support.

Through or virtual centre we offer three different routes for learning:

Virtual

This journey means everything is electronic and there is no need to visit our centre. Learners will interact online with their tutor – setting goals for their course and reviewing their progress to the end.

Remote Learning

This journey normally begins with some form of face to face contact – it could be attendance at a presentation or induction. Once the programme begins, the remote learner then follows the virtual route ie interacting online with their tutor. Our learners generally stem from the North East Region.

Operational Learning

This journey means there is some form of qualification attached to the learning. This means the learner journey begins with face to face contact and continues with some remote/virtual learning. Once the learner reaches the desired goal, provision is made for testing or assessment where our co-ordinators will support this process. Most of our ECDL programmes are ‘operational’ . Most of our operational work is done in companies throughout the North East Region.

Working with Small Businesses (SMEs)
